You will come in on an international flight to Keflavik airport.  Then you will transfer to Reykjavik (about 45 minutes away) to your hotel. Check-in your rooms followed by a first short walk in town (the hotel is located a stone's throw from the pedestrian street) and the evening meal (N.B. This dinner is not included in your package deal.) will be taken either in town or in your hotel at your convenience.

Tuesday, April 13, 2021
Breakfast in your hotel and then departure of the daily excursion "Golden Circle" by bus. The excursion will take you through some of the most spectacular places in the south of the island, such as the Gullfoss waterfalls or Thingvellir National Park, not to mention the famous Geyser spitting water more than 20 meters high. Return to town in the late afternoon after an excursion of about 8 hours. The evening meal is individual and can be chosen either in the pedestrian street or in your hotel (not included in the arrangement).

Wednesday, April 14, 2021
First a copious breakfast at your hotel before you will be transfer to the domestic airport of Reykjavik (about 5 minutes away from your hotel) and take a domestic flight to Isafjördur that lasts only about 50 minutes. The arrival at the fjords is spectacular and no one can remain indifferent. Then for 10 minutes by bus you will go to your hotel in the small town Isafjördur check-in your room followed by the evening meal in town (at your choice and not included in the arrangement).

Thursday, April 15, 2021 and Friday, April 16, 2021
First a copious breakfast and then a transfer by bus (not included in the package) to the stadium which is 15 minutes away in order to reconnoiter a part of the 50 km course.  In the afternoon you can rewax your skis (or you can pay someone else to do it in the Nordic ski shop situated in your hotel). Possibility to have the evening meal in town and on Friday in the form of a large "special marathon" buffet in the Isafjördur hotel (evening meals are not included in the package).

Guided sightseeing tour (Thursday or Friday at choice) to explore Dynjandi waterfall and the stunning landscape of the Westfjords from Isafjordur. Dynjandi is one of Iceland’s most impressive & majestic waterfalls, and one of the icons of The Westfjords. It is part of a tier of 7 waterfalls, each with their own name. The top tier is called Dynjandi which means “thunderous”. Thursday, April 16 also features the 25 km skating race!

Saturday, April 17, 2021
It is time for a big breakfast before the race!  There will be a bus taking you to the departure stadium. The race starts at 9:00 for the 50 km classic course. There are other distances that are shorter. After the race, the organizers provide buses. A festive evening awaits you with another spectacular buffet followed by the race results announcements and the medals.

Sunday, April 18, 2021
You will have a breakfast before you return to Reykjavik by bus and you will drive along the fjords and go through the mountains. You will have a break for coffee and visit a famous thermal hot springs with the possibility to have a nice relaxing time in the water! You will arrive in the afternoon then you will go to your hotel and then you can either visit the capital. You decide where you want to eat that evening.

You will have a breakfast before you return to the Keflavik international airport and take your return flight.
