Length: 7 days / 6 nights
Level of Skier Ability: The Engadine Valley is reputed to be accessible to those who ski at any level, especially those skiing classic technique. Nonetheless, the minimum level for this trip should be considered advanced. Nonetheless, there is always the possibility of taking the “postal” bus in order to shorten any day’s trip.
Lodgings: Only 3 star hotels. Use of a sauna in both Maloja and Pontresina.
Total Length of the Tour: From 90 to 120 km depending on your choices. You have the possibility of choosing different routes depending on your fitness level and technical abilities.
Departure and Arrival: Maloja and Zernez
How to Travel:
If you come by car, you will take the Zürich-Coire expressway as far as Thusis and then you will climb the Julier high-mountain pass until you get to Silvaplana, then you drive directly to Maloja.
If you are coming by train, take it to St-Moritz and then take the postal bus to Maloja.
If you are coming by plane, the closest airport is Zürich or Milan; each is about two and a half hours away by motorized transportation.
Parking: You can park for free near the initial hotel in Maloja.
Important: You can do this tour in the opposite direction. This is an option if the hotels in Maloja or in Zuoz no longer have rooms available.
